Rock Solid Civil has had the privilege of contributing to some of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects. With each project, our expertise and capabilities have expanded, propelling our company's growth and success. Here are a few of the projects we've been involved in. NORTH EAST LINK
CLIENT - SPARK-NEL
As part of Victoria’s Big Build, we’re delivering 3 major road projects. The 6.5km North East Link tunnels from Watsonia to Bulleen will fix the missing link in our city’s freeway network, take 15,000 trucks off local roads a day and reduce travel times by up to 35 minutes. Upgrades to the Eastern Freeway and M80 Ring Road will include new lanes, smart technology and a seamless connection to the North East Link tunnels. Rock Solid Civil Group Has been awarded Major works Contract for Drainage Installation, Project completion date estimated 2027

HURSTBRIDGE LINE DUPLICATION
CLIENT - ACCIONA / LENDLEASE
Stage 2 of the project, we built new modern stations at Greensborough and Montmorency and upgraded Diamond Creek Station. Works also included duplicating 2km of rail track between Greensborough and Montmorency stations and 1.5km between Diamond Creek and Wattle Glen stations to allow more trains to run more often. Rock Solid Civil was part of the Diamond creek early works providing labour concreting and drainage we also provided Drainage Services and Earthmoving equipment for the construction of both Montmorency and Greensborough stations Works were completed Early 2024

WESTERNPORT HIGHWAY UPGRADE
CLIENT - DOWNER GROUP
As part of Victoria's Big Build We’ve replaced the roundabouts at Ballarto and Cranbourne-Frankston roads with traffic lights to better manage traffic flow on and off Western Port Highway.
The project will improve safety and congestion for the 25,000 drivers that use the highway each day.
As part of the Western Port Highway Upgrade we upgraded the Ballarto Road and Cranbourne-Frankston Road intersections from roundabouts to traffic lights, added additional capacity to the Ballarto Road and Cranbourne-Frankston Road intersections by building additional through lanes, dedicated right-turn lanes and left-turn slip lanes, built a new shared walking and cycling path to connect the existing paths near the Ballarto Road and Cranbourne-Frankston Road intersection. Rock Solid Civil was Grateful for being part of this project Being awarded Drainage Contract as well as supplying Labour and Concreting services project was completed Early 2023

CRAGIEBURN ROAD UPGRADE
CLEINT - FULTON HOGAN
As part of Victorias big Build, We’re adding extra lanes on Craigieburn Road between Hume Highway and Mickleham Road as well as upgrading intersections and building better walking, cycling, and public transport connections. this forms part of the Build Big Roads scheme, Rock Solid Civil Group has been awarded a Major works contract for Drainage and Excavation, Estimated Completion 2024

NARRE WARREN CRANBOURNE ROAD UPGRADE
CLIENT - MCCONNELL DOWELL
As Part of Victorias Big Build We’re adding extra lanes between Thompsons Road and the South Gippsland Highway, upgrading intersections and building new walking and cycling paths.
The upgrade will improve safety and reduce congestion on Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road, as well as reduce growing traffic pressure on the South Gippsland Highway through Cranbourne Town Centre. Rock Solid Civil was privileged to be awarded a Major Drainage Contract supplying both Drianage and Labour to the project. Completion Date 2024

CRANBOURNE LINE UPGRADE
CLIENT - MCCONNELL DOWELL
As part of Victoria's Big Build Major construction is well underway on the Cranbourne Line Upgrade, with 8km of duplicated track between Cranbourne and Dandenong complete and a new Merinda Park Station open to passengers.
The second track between Cranbourne and Dandenong was completed in February 2022, close to a year ahead of schedule and means trains can run every 10 minutes on average in the morning peak for passengers travelling from Cranbourne, Lynbrook and Merinda Park stations. Rock Solid Civil Group Was awarded Drainage Contract as well as the supply of Skilled labour and Concrete Services. Project completed in 2022.

FRANKSTON LINE UPGRADE
CLIENT - ACCIONA / LENDLEASE
As part of Victoria’s Big Build, We’re removing all dangerous and congested level crossings on the Frankston Line by 2029. This means more benefits for local communities and a better transport network for all Victorians, With the Completion of the following

Rock Solid Civil has been part of the Journy, Completing Drainage works on all parts, Concrete works for IWP AWP1 & AWP2 and Plant Equipment & Labour services to date this was one of the best projects we have been part of, We thank Acciona for their achivements

TOLL WEBB DOCK UPGRADE
CLIENT - CIVILEX
Toll embarked on staged upgrades to its terminals at Webb Dock and Burnie as part of a $311 million investment to boost capacity for the Bass Strait trade. Symal delivered the upgraded Toll Shipping’s terminal at Webb Dock, Melbourne creating more than 150 construction industry jobs in Melbourne. scope included demolition and bulk earthworks, new in-ground services including fire, water, sewer, electrical and communications, new light poles up to 30m tall, 55,000m2 deep lift asphalt pavement, 22,000m2 of heavy-duty post-tension and reinforced concrete slabs, new 1,900m2 workshop building with refueling bays, gatehouses and extensions to existing warehouses of 6,000m2 and finishing elements included automated gates, line marking and concrete barriers. Rock Solid Civil was engaged to complete concrete works and drainage throughout the project. Another successful project from Civilex. Project was completed 2019

BALLARAT LINE UPGRADE
CLIENT - LENDLEASE
As part of Victoria's Big Build and Regional Rail Revival, The Ballarat Line Upgrade was completed in early 2021, delivering 135 extra weekly services across the project for Ballarat and growing communities along the line.
Trains now run every 20 minutes during the peak and every 40 minutes between the peaks. The project also delivered new and upgraded stations and better reliability. this included the removal of 5 level crossings, 1 new station, 4 station upgrades and 18km of new track. Rock Solid Civil was awarded Drainage and concrete packages including shared user paths, bus bays, car parks as well as Plant and Equipment & Skilled Labour hire. This federally funded project was one of the first level crossing projects we were lucky enough to be part of. it also was one of the best managed to date, Lendlease did an amazing Job.

TOYOTA TEST TRACK
CLIENT - SYMAL
Rock Solid Civil was the lucky party to complete concrete works on the new toyota test track, this included custom finished concrete for tracktion testings and full river crossings to simulate australias harsh outback. We enjoyed the custom work required and thank Symal Formally CivilEx for choosing Rock Solid Civil Project was completed in 2020

MONASH FREEWAY UPGRADE - 2
CLIENT - CPB
As Part of Victorias Big Build We've added extra lanes to the Monash Freeway between Warrigal and Cardinia Roads to make your journey quicker, easier and safer. added 36km of new lanes on the Monash and Princes Freeways

onnected Police Road to the freeway with an outbound entry-ramp

connected the Jacksons Road outbound ramps directly to EastLink with a separate road

installed smart, on-road technology across the project, including extending the lane-use management system from the South Gippsland Freeway to Beaconsfield interchange

upgraded the Beaconsfield interchange to a diamond interchange, and added an inbound freeway exit-ramp and an outbound freeway entry-ramp

opened the new O’Shea Road extension between Soldiers Road and Princes Freeway
-
built a shared walking and cycling path along O’Shea Road between Clyde Road, Berwick and the Princes Highway, Beaconsfield.
Rock Solid Civil was awarded major drainage contract for works at city end, we assisted the project with also rectification works supplying confined space workers and rescue equipment, this allowed for CPB to open part of project ahead of schedule.

CAULFIELD TO DANDENONG CD9
CLIENT - ACCIONA
As part of Victoria's Big Build and Level Crossing Removal scheme, Each and every level crossing between Caulfield and Dandenong is officially gone for good – the single biggest level crossing removal project in Melbourne's history.
A new 3.2km stretch of elevated rail opened for passengers on Monday 18 June between Caulfield and Hughesdale, removing the final 4 of 9 dangerous and congested crossings along Melbourne’s busiest rail corridor. this was the longest section of elevated rail built to date, Rock Solid Civil were used for Drainage Works also Concrete Services and Skilled Labour Hire, known as the Sky rail this was a huge achievement from the head contractor and government this was a success that poeple can enjoy not just for the sky rail but all the parks and walking tracks created below.
